I bought this collection off of Ebay because it was limted edition at Sephoria. Christine from temptailia.com raves about these eyeliners, so I just had to try them. Being the cheap-O makeup lover that I am, I could NOT spend $18 on one eyeliner, without knowing if I would really like it. So I searched the web and came across this mini collection on ebay from the seller vspmel2000 . It was $29 with free shipping! I thought that was a great deal and vspmel2000 feedback was great! Normally, I don't recommend buying make-up off of Ebay because it can be fake (especially the MAC), however I have never heard of fake MUFE. This product looked real and with the great feedback I decided to go for it. The shipping was fast (I got it within the week) and eyeliner's look great. There are few left on Ebay, so if you are interested in getting the set for yourself, the link for it is here.
Top to bottom: #1L. #6L, #8L, #11L, #23L
The color variety in this set is great and so far I really like the liners. They do not tug and the colors do stay on my waterline. My favorites are #11L and #23L (which looks great in the inner corner!)

MAC Venomous Villains Collection-What is your take on the packaging?
The MAC Venomous Villains Collection features a collection inspired by Disney villains. There are four collections based on CRUELLA DE VIL, THE EVIL QUEEN, MALEFICENT, and DR. FACILIER.
The US launch date is September 2010 and the International launch date in October 2010.
There has been a lot of buzz around the MAC Venomous Villains Collection because everyone loves Disney villains. Based on the inspiration I just knew that this collection AND it's packaging would be AMAZING! Sadly, once I saw the pictures on Temptalia I didn't think it was anything to brag about. I personally think it looks tacky and silly. It looks like they slapped a sticker on it! I don't want to touch up my make-up in the bathroom with a cartoon Disney character on the package, I think it just cheapens the whole collection. They should have done something more mature with it. I thought MAC would do something really inspirational and artistic with the packaging, but maybe Disney is limiting MAC...I don't know..but what are your thoughts on it? Will the packaging push you away from buying the collection?
I would have loved the packaging to be more like the promo pictures..really sketchy and artist.
I know some people do like the packaging and I think that is great! Some people are just Disney fans through and through!
If certain colors catch my eye, I may buy from this collection, but these are defiantly depots for me..soo yay..more B2M cases!
Pictures are taken from Temptalia and The Makeup and Beauty Blog Please visit her site here and here to learn more about the collection, including a list of all the makeup, broken down by each villain.
Oh APPLE DIPPERS..How I love THEE..great weight loss tip..
Happy Friday ladies!!! I know with the beautiful weekend coming up it will be to hot to cook, so I am sure alot of us will be going out to eat..I know I go out to eat at least once every weekend..so I thought it would nice to share a healthy eating out tip with you all.
McDonald's Apple Dippers have easily become my favorite fast food item. They are so yummy and help me to stay on a healthy track. They are sweet, crunchy, almost taste like candy (thanks to the caramel) and they are ONLY a DOLLAR!
Apple Dippers have replaced french fries in my life..yes..that's right..I said REPLACED!!!
I am the french fry queen. Everywhere I would go I would ALWAYS order french fires..no matter what! I personally believe that this is one of the reason why I have gained weight, so I now try my darnest to stay away from them.
So here is my excuse for choosing apple dippers over french fries.
French fries are only good for the first few fries, when they are really hot and just come out of the fryer. They then get cold and soggy in matter of minutes and just don't taste the same after that. So then I start eating them just because I have them and not because they taste good.
Also, the calorie stats help too!
A small fry has 230 calories and 11g of fat
A medium fry has 380 calories and 19g of fat
A large fry has 500 calories and 25g of fat!!!!!
Yikes!!! All with no added vitamins...just loads of carbs, plus you always get something else with your fries, like a hamburger or chicken nuggets and that just adds on to your calories too.
Apple Dippers on the other hand are just a total of 135 calories(yes, that is with the low-fat caramel dipping sauce) and 1g of fat. They also have 310% of your daily Vitamin C and 6% of your daily Calcium. Plus since apples have a lot of water in them, so they keep you fuller a lot longer than any small, medium, or large fry!
So if you eat apple dippers over a small french fry, you will be saving yourself 135 calories and 10g of fat..DAMN!!!!!! Plus you will adding in some nutrients :)
I hope I have convinced you to replace your french fries with apple dippers or at least try it! I know it is tough but it is really worth it..I don't ever crave the french fries any more because all I want are these dippers!!!!
YUMMY!!!!!! :)

Problem with Makeup Artist Choice.com solved within 2 Hours-EXCELLENT customer service!!!
I order alot of my skincare product from makeupartistschoice.com.
I use their 30% Glycolic acid, Super C+E Serum, Micropolish, Rosehips Hibiscus Scar Cream and my new favorite is Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask w/5% Glycolic Acid.
About two months ago I ordered the Rosehips Hibiscus Scar Cream from them. It was my second jar and I loved it the first time. When I got this second jar I noticed that the cream was a lot thinner than the first but thought is was a new formula and started to use it. After a few weeks, it started to separate and I could see yellow oily looking blobs in it. I mixed it all together and then the blobs went away. However, today I noticed that these blobs have harded and my cream felt like it has crystals in it or something. I thought it was really odd, so I thought I would e-mail MUAC to see if maybe they changed the formula of my favorite cream.
Well, MUAC got back to me within two hours with this response:
I highly recommend MUAC to anyone for their skincare needs. They work great on me and I love how you can buy samples of everything they sell to try it on you first. That is how I found out what worked for me and what didn't without spending a ton of money AND they have AMAZING customer service!!
Has anyone else bought from MUAC? Let me know what product you like, I LOVE to try out new things!Jess

Thank you for your note.
Please accept our sincere apologies. We have not changed the formulation of the Rosehips Hibiscus Scar Cream. The cream should not separate as you have described. We are happy to send you a new jar at no cost. Please provide your full name and order number and we will get the out to you today.

Makeup storage Tip #1-Clear Acrylic Makeup Storage at Target!!
I needed some serious organiztion for my everyday makeup. I used this makeup everyday and because of this I never put it away properly in my makeup drawers, I would always just leave it on top of my dresser and I was tired of looking it all messy. So I went to Target on a mission and I found what I was looking for!
It is the Caboodles Cosmetic Cutie Organizer and I paid $13.49 for it at my local Target, but it is online too! Check it out....I filled it up perfectly!!
My daily makeup face products are to the left and my daily skincare items are to the right. Primers and concealers in the back with my beauty blender (love this!!) and my eyebrow care station (tweezers, eyebrow sissors, and brush) I also had room for q-tips, cotten balls and cotten rounds. Everything I use on daily basis fit perfectly..I love it!

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray Review-With Before and After Pictures
I have heard a lot people asking about this product and I have had it for months (since it came out). So I thought I should do a review on it with some before and after pictures after a long day at work and what my thoughts on it are. The All Nighter Spray cost $29.00 for 4oz bottle. I bought it during their 30% off sale which they do a few times a year.
This is what Urban Decay says it will do:
What I say it does: I have had this spray for months now and I like it! It helps control my oil, my makeup does NOT melt off me no matter how hot is outside (and it has been 90+ here in CT), and my makeup does last longer without any touch ups. There is no funky smell to the spray, it feels great on the skin, and the spray dries on the skin very quickly
The downside: It does not last 16 hours. I mean, come on! Really UD! That is just an insane marketing ploy. While this product does help to control my oil, I still need to apply my powder at around 2-3pm, but really that is about it, my blush is still in place and looks good till around 5pm and that is when I feel like I need to reapply it, just it enhance the color a bit more
All in all: This spray helps me feel confident that throughout my work day, my makeup will stay in place and shine free (for the most part). If you are going out after work, I would bring a few things to help you refresh your makeup, as this spray will not keep you or your makeup feeling fresh for that long!
I would recommend this spray to anyone who wants the to feel confident that their makeup will not budge for at least 8 hours, if you are looking for your makeup to last longer than that, then this spray is not for you. I think it works well and since it only works for half the amount of time it promises to work, I think you should by it when UD has their 30% off sale. Hey, they should have a 50% off sale because it only works for half the hours, but 30% off is great too!!
Below are before and after pictures. The before picture was taken at work, at 8:10am, roughly one hour after I applied my makeup and the All Nighter Spray. The after picture was taken at 4:32pm, after I went outside in 90 degree heat for my lunch and stayed in my a/c building for the rest of the time, with my little heater on in my cubicle (because the a/c here is just to cold!!!) All I did for the after pic was reapply my lipstick and that was it because I wanted to show the full effect of the spray. Normally I will use powder at around 2 or 3pm to absorb some of my oil.
Before Picture
After Picture-8 hours later
Boy... do I look tired there!! lol but you can see how the blush color looks faded and I am little oily on my cheeks..but the makeup dose not look runny or smeary. Oh..and yeah..the lighting at my job is AW-FUL!
I hope this review has helped anyone who is interested in trying this product. Please let me know if you have any questions.
This is what Urban Decay says it will do:
This groundbreaking formula mists on, ensuring that your makeup won’t budge for 16 hours. All Nighter mist prevents loss of color, melting, sliding, caking, cracking, excess shine, fading blush, drooping eyeshadow and lip color disappearance. AND it’s formulated to resist moisture, so you can fearlessly sweat, cry, or get your Jacuzzi on... It’s the new final step to your makeup routine. Just a couple sprays on top of your makeup and you’re out the door.
What I say it does: I have had this spray for months now and I like it! It helps control my oil, my makeup does NOT melt off me no matter how hot is outside (and it has been 90+ here in CT), and my makeup does last longer without any touch ups. My new B2M Lipstick-Modesty
I got Modesty lipstick last week with my 6 B2M empties. It is a cremesheen finish and it is everything I wished Hug Me l/s (a luster finish) was! I hated Hug Me because it did not last long and it made my lips feel very dry. However Modesty last longer, goes on very smooth and does not dry my lips out a all. MAC.com describes it as a muted neutral pink and I agree with that. It is perfect for an everyday lipstick.
Here is the lipstick and a swatch:
Thanks for looking!

MAC-In the Groove Haul
So far I think this is my favorite MAC collection this year. Everything I got, I love and I could see myself wearing it on a daily basis. This this is what I got:
Jazzed l/s, Fashion Whim Creemsheen l/g, Happy Together Mineralized Blush AND...dun dun dun...Stereo Rose MSF! I was so excited about this..I ordered it 6 min after it launched on the MAC website. I know it sounds crazy, but I missed out on Marine life and I was so upset, so I made it my mission to get this MSF!! I also have By Candle light MSF, which is gorgeous, but I got that from the Warm and Cozy Collection.
Here are the swatches:
On top is Jazzed l/s, Fashion Whim l/g, Jazzed l/s with Fashion Whim l/g on top (luv that combo!)
This is Happy Together, starting from the left is the two color mixed together, then the brown shade, then the pinky sheer color..these colors are great alone and mixed!
AND this is Stereo Rose...soooo pretty and I am sooo happy mine has minimal veining in it (as you can see in the first pic) because the veining is what hold all the glitter and the less glitter the better for me!
I also did a LOTD with most of the products that I had previously posted, but I'll post another pic so you can see it all together.
Enjoy!! HTH and let me know if you got anything from this collection

Vitamins that I Take
Since this is a health blog too, I thought I would share with you the vitamins I take on daily basis. I get all my vitamins from iherb.com or Costco.
I take a total of five to six vitamins a day
Starting from the left:
Jarrow Formula B-Right, B-Complex- I purchased this from iherb.com and it a vitamin B12 supplement. I do not take this everyday, but I do take it on days that I feel sluggish or on days that I feel that extra stress is just piling on me. It works great and I can really feel the difference it makes on my body when I take it. When you take a B12 vitamin, it does turn your urine a neon bright yellow, but no worries, it is normal. That is how your body gets rid of the excess B12 in your body
Natural Omega 3-6-9 Lemon Flavor- I purchased this from iherb.com and I love it. I have been using this for a little over 6 months and my hair, skin and nails have been looking great. It also has great for your heart and cardiovascular system as well. Since this is lemon flavor fish oil, I never burp up a nasty fish taste. It is also a big pill, but it is a gel capsule, so it goes down easy
Kirkland Vitamin D3- I bought this at Costco. I had blood work taken about a year and the Dr. told me I was vitamin D deficient and since then I have taking a Vitamin D supplement. I am not out in the sun a lot, nor do I drink a lot of milk (which are your two big vitamin D suppliers). You also need vitamin D to absorb calcium in your body, if you do not have enough of it in your body, your body can not absorb the proper amount of calcium, no matter how much calcium you intake. Since taking this supplement, I am no longer vitamin D defiant!
Kirkland Calcium- I got this at Costco's as well. This is great to take because I am not a huge milk drinker or yogurt eater and it is very important for women to get the proper amount of calcium for our bones.
Kirkland Priemium Performance Multi- I got this at Costco and it is a multi vitamin with some herbal supplements in it. It honestly taste GROSS!! This is not my favorite vitamin!
Now Candida Clear- I got this at iherb.com and it is comprised of oregano oil and black walnut oil. It is suppose to help prevent yeast infections. Due to my birth control, I have been yeast infections and this helps, but it doesn’t prevent them 100%.
I store all my vitamins in the 6 in 1 vitamin dispenser that I got from amazon.com
This is very convenient because all my vitamins are in one place, together. There is no unscrewing six different bottles, everything is in one place and labeled. It was $8 with shipping and the link for it is here:

BTW..my sister HATES swallowing pills (she is 21) but she loves taking these!
I get them at Costco's for her and she takes them everyday. I had tried them and they do taste very good. I would advise you to keep the bottle away from young kids because they may think that they are candy and want to eat the whole bottle!! I know my 6-year-old cousin did!

IMATS 2011 in NEW YORK!!!!
OMFG!! I have been a makeup fan for almost 2 years now and I always hear people rave about the IMATS in LA. Well, I live in Connecticut, which is pretty darn far from LA! BUT I just found out the the IMAT's will be coming to New York next year!!!! I am sooo excited!! New York is less than a 2 hour drive from me or I can take the train over there too!!
It will held on April 9 and 10, 2011 @ 82 Mercer Street New York, NY in Soho
Tickets are $30 a person for either April 9 or April 11 and $55 a person for both days
I am sooo super excited! I know it is a little early, but with my next paycheck I will be buying a ticket, just to set it in stone for myself.
For more information and to buy the tickets, you can go to the IMATS website:

Let me know if you plan on going!

Enkores Homemade Brush Cleaner
I have been making this brush cleaner for a while now. It works great and it's easy to make.
All you need are the ingredients below, a measuring cup, and bottle to pour the ingredients in!
I got the alcohol, baby shampoo, leave in conditioners and empty bottle at target
I got the distilled water at CVS and the dish soap at Costco
Mix the following ingredients together in a large container:
- 1 cup of distilled/purified water
- 1/4 cup of 70% isopropyl alcohol
- 1/2 tbsp dish soap (I used Joy)
- 1/2 tbsp gentle shampoo (I used baby shampoo)
- 1 tbsp of leave-in conditioner (I used Sauve Detangling Spray in Double Dutch Apple..it smells sooo good!! LOL)
Gently stir to prevent suds from forming (I just stirred it up with the tablespoon I used for measuring) and transfer into a bottle that will allow for easy dispensing of the cleaner.
I try to clean my brushes everyday with this cleaner after I use them and I try to "deep" clean my brushes with baby shampoo about once a month.
This is what is looks like all mixed up:
And this is what it looks like in the bottle, it is clear but if you want it to have some color just use a colored dish soap, some people like to use pink dish soap so that it looks like the MAC brush cleaner:
AND Viola! your done!
