NYX to MAC Dupe Series: NYX Atlantic VS MAC Freshwater

This match is talked about A LOT. I alway hear about how NYX Atlantic is a dupe to MAC Freshwater. We will soon see how true this is!

NO, NO, NO! NOT a DUPE! I don't need to explain why, you can so SEE it! I do like NYX Atlanti better on my warmer skin tone than MAC Freshwater. BOTH are amazing blues, just NOT the same.

AM I RIGHT on THIS ONE LADIES? Thoughts?

Milani Baked Eyeshadow in Blackout Review and Swatches

This is the Milani Baked Eyeshadow in #02 Blackout. It was $6.99 at CVS,  but I had $5 ECB coupon, so I got the eyeshadow for $2.99 :D

It has a dip in it already because the BEST way to apply this shadow it to break it a bit with the end handle of your brush. That is how you get the BEST color payoff. I also experienced no fall out at all when I applied this to my eyes. I was really surprised by the texture and smoothness of the shadow, especially from a drugstore brand.

Left to Right: Swatched Wet, Swatched Dry

 On the Eyes :)

Have you tried any of these yet? What do you think?

Dear MAC....INGLOT SWATCHES!!

Dear MAC,

When I entered into the makeup world 2 years ago, all I dreamed of was saving up enough money to buy your coveted eye shadows. I wanted every single color, I wanted to own the whole collection. For $14.50 of a 1.5 gram of your claimed "Highly pigmented shadows, that apply evenly and blend easily", I was very excited to dive into your world. As I started to explore your world, I was smitten with your products, but soon I started to become an individual in the makeup world and started to try other brands that are not so highly bragged about, because honestly, all your hype is not always worth it. Not all your products are the bees knees, so to speak. On my adventure outside of your world, I came across this AMAZING brand INGLOT. While, you, MAC charge $11 for a 1.5g individual pan (not in the pot), INGLOT charges $4.50 for a 2.7g pan of eyeshadow. This INGLOT brand actually has a DISCOUNT system..YES..say it with me MAC..DISCOUNT SYSTEM.

Buy one shadow from their freedom system and it will cost you $7
Buy three shadows from their freedom system and each shade will cost you $5
Buy ten or more shadows from their freedom system and each shade will cost you $4.50

and can you believe that you can buy a 2, 3, 5, 10, or 20 pan magnetic palettes too...WOW..choices..

AMAZING PRICES! and guess what! INGLOTS MATTES ARE REAL MATTES! Smooth, pigmented and easy to work, unlike yours...

INGLOT actually has a few different finishes for their shadows

Matte: Smooth, buttery and very pigmented. These shadows have no sparkle or sheen to them at all

Pearl: Slightly shimmery frost finish

DS: Means Double Sparkle, these are satin based shades with very fine glitter. They have more of a matte base, with a very fine glitter sheen. These are amazing looking

AMC and AMC shine: This is Inglot's own formula which stands for "advanced makeup component". This collection is perspiration resistant, contains vitamin E, and is talc-free. Most of the AMC shadows I own lean more towards the matte side of things or with a slight sheen or metallic finish

Also did you know that the INGLOT Company was established over 25 years ago by Wojtek Inglot, a young chemist working at that time in R and D department in pharmaceutical company.
His principal objective was to produce high quality products at fair and reasonable prices, using only the best possible ingredients and raw materials from the most reputable suppliers. INGLOT also does not test on animals.

INGLOT also sells a lot of other amazing products that I bought and can not wait to try an tell you about.

So MAC while I do not hate or dislike you. I have moved on from you. I still get excited about some of your collections and I still consider you the "go-to" brand in the makeup world, but you are no longer my staple, HG makeup company. Thank you for all you have done for me and I will continue to be your customer, but just not as frequently.

You can find out more about INGLOT, where there stores are located and you can purchase their makeup online at INGLOTCOSMETICS.COM. I HIGHLY recommend it.

With all my heart,
Jess

NOW on to the SWATCHES!!! :D

PLEASE CLICK ON THE PICTURES TO ENLARGE THEM

Here are my palettes and I stored 16 shadows in a Z-palette:

And how I label them with my label maker

AHH-MAZING! PHEW! I also bought some lipsticks, pigments, blush, foundation and an eyeliner. Those swatches are coming soon. I am also working on a MAC Vs INGLOT post as well :D

Did I turn you into an INGLOT lover? Do you want some now? :P

CRACKed up Nails

These are some of the nail color combinations that I came up with my OPI and China Glaze crackle nail polish. I really love the crackle look. I know some people are on fence about the crackle look, but I always get a TON of compliments when I wear these combos.

ORLY Close Your Eyes with OPI Black Crackle

Confetti First Kiss ($1.99 at CVS) and China Glaze Cracked Concrete

F21 Love and Beauty on Mint and China Glaze Fault Line

Sur La Pointe Des Pieds in Lime Sublime (found it at Old Navy) and China Glaze Lightening Bolt

What do you think of the combos?

NYX to MAC Dupe Series: NYX Spring Flower VS MAC Swish

So I'm back to my NYX to MAC dupe series. It has been awhile since I did one of these, but I had every intention to geting back to this.

If you are new to my blog, this is a series that I started based on the NYX to MAC dupe list that I found on-line.

On the list, I highlighted all the MAC shadows I own and bought the corresponding NYX shadows that are claimed to dupes for the MAC shadows.

The point of the posts is to how close these said dupes really are to the MAC shadows, in hopes to save you all some money!

Here are some the past NYX to MAC dupe series, in case you missed them or just as a refresher:

So this battle is with NYX Spring Flower and MAC Swish

Here they are in the pans:

AND the swatches..do you know which is which??
NYX Spring flower is on top and MAC Swish is on the bottom.

Photobucket
They DO look pretty similar, Swish is more pigmented and a bit more purple, but the colors are very similar.

What do you think of the colors? LMK!!

Confetti Moonstruck Nail Polish- I FINALLY found it!

I have been seeing this nail polish on other beauty bloggers blogs (that's a mouth full..lol) and have wanted it ever since BUT every time I go to any CVS it is sold out.

Confetti nail polish is a brand that CVS sells for $1.99 with a pretty good variety of colors, nothing to orginal, but not bad for $1.99.

Moonstruck has been said to be dupe for Sephoria's OPI Metro Chic, which I do not have. It is a gorgeous taupe creme color.

The lasting power of this brand is ok, I get about 2-3 days without chipping or slight chipping.

So here it is:

Pretty huh?? I really like this color and I am happy I finally got it :)
